The 4th edition of the SMN Athens Conference of Smart Maritime Network will be witnessed in Athens.

Effective communication and implementation of technology and innovation is the upcoming challenge of the maritime industry. The development of the industry mainly depends upon updating with the latest technology and innovations.

Implementation of the technology covers different aspects like cost effectiveness, skilled labor and expertise, installation of machinery, and so on. Proper handling and compilation of all these aspects are required for the development of the industry.

Recent announcements, such as the commitment made by all nine members of the DCSA to adopt electronic bills of lading (eBL) by 2030 and the Smart Maritime Council's publication of a Standardized Vessel Dataset (SVD) for Noon Reports, suggest that the industry is increasingly open to digitalization advancements.
